ABOUT CLICKED

The modern news consumer ignores Weblogs and online citizen journalism at his own peril. But not everyone has the time to keep track of what's going on the Web. With this blog we hope to track the highlights of what's being discussed online so when news breaks from the Web, we're ready.

Will Femia is a Weblog enthusiast who, through good fortune and dumb luck, was introduced to the form as his position as chat producer for MSNBC.com careered into obsolescence. On any given day, Will can be found having already spent an unhealthy amount of time squinting at a computer screen.

Have iPhone, will blend

Posted: Wednesday, July 11, 2007 4:31 PM by Will Femia

I don't think there's been another link sent to me more than the iPhone in a blender video.  Rather than wait for today's entry, let's get it out there:

The official Will It Blend site is here.

When the whole blender goes black with smoke I started cheering.
That is the best use of an i-Phone that I have seen to date.
Alex, what do you reckon that stuff is, the battery? If I were that guy I'd be wearing a mask.
I thought it was the battery too.  I'd stay off the iSmoke if I was him.
My guess is it's the reaction of the electronic parts to the battery's acid...
I thought the black stuff was the Liquid Crystal of the Display.  I have a question though.  I looked through some of the other videos on the site.  I saw (in the intro) Something explode in to flames.  I think at one poine he blended matches.  But I can't find a link any where.  Do you think that's what it is, and where would one find that video?
G, I find a few people online asking the same question, so I'm thinking it might not exist, at least not in official form.  This guy tried it

and this guy looks like he just likes to set things on fire.

More living proof that there are too many jackasses with way too much time on their hands.  Get a job, get a life....
