ABOUT CLICKED

The modern news consumer ignores Weblogs and online citizen journalism at his own peril. But not everyone has the time to keep track of what's going on the Web. With this blog we hope to track the highlights of what's being discussed online so when news breaks from the Web, we're ready.

Will Femia is a Weblog enthusiast who, through good fortune and dumb luck, was introduced to the form as his position as chat producer for MSNBC.com careered into obsolescence. On any given day, Will can be found having already spent an unhealthy amount of time squinting at a computer screen.

I can definitely confirm that people are taking the joke photo seriously. I just saw an angry letter to msnbc.com from a person accusing Obama of sloppily posing for the photo and not realizing its upside-down. Good thing I recognized the IMAO watermark.

So, what's the problem with the foto? That guy's pants shore look nice...Where can I get a telephonicom like that?
Sadly, I GUARANTEE (and would be willing to bet money) that I'll receive the photoshopped version in my email in the next week...then I'll have to reply with the Clicked (or Snopes) link debunking it.  I hate people.

Hey Will, got a question for ya.  Is it true that the Snopes folks start a lot of internet rumors just to get the credit of debunking them?  I read that somewhere once and I was never able to confirm/deny/get any more info on THAT rumor.
I completely forgot today was April Fools; been tricked a couple times already today. Oh well.

And that Obama photo is hillary-ous

*Ducks rotten vegetables*

Gotta love puns!
