ABOUT CLICKED

The modern news consumer ignores Weblogs and online citizen journalism at his own peril. But not everyone has the time to keep track of what's going on the Web. With this blog we hope to track the highlights of what's being discussed online so when news breaks from the Web, we're ready.

Will Femia is a Weblog enthusiast who, through good fortune and dumb luck, was introduced to the form as his position as chat producer for MSNBC.com careered into obsolescence. On any given day, Will can be found having already spent an unhealthy amount of time squinting at a computer screen.

Almost back

Posted: Tuesday, May 06, 2008 4:00 PM by Will Femia

I'm on one of those long weekend "as long as we came all this way to go to the wedding we might as well stay a couple days at that time share your mother's friend offered" trips. Flying home tomorrow.

I have to add that I'm softening my position on the bottled water ban now that I've had Orlando water for the past couple of days. Bleh. It's like liquid chalk!

Booo! Tell your loyal readers when you aren't going to be around. WE OWN YOU!!!one elven!!!
My lunch breaks just haven't been the same since you've been gone. I've had to resort to mindless online games instead of being enlightened! You're certainly entitled to a vacation, but at least let your loyal fans know when you're gonna be away for a few days.
I agree with Michael. I thought you were dead.
And to think I actually worried about you. I second your Boo, Michael.
I won't boo you.  You're entitled to have a life outside of this blog.  (Though I am starting to go into withdrawal.  I rely almost entirely on you to point me to interesting stuff on the web.)  But I do want to thank you for the coffee mug you sent as a prize for the sexy alien robot contest.  It's a perfect addition to my collection.  Also, thanks for the bubble wrap that you included with it.  That ought to help me kill some time until you get back from vacation.  :-)

By the way, it recently occurred to me that Brainiac from "Smallville" (played by James Marsters) is an alien robot; and I'll bet that many women consider him to be sexy.  I don't recall anyone mentioning him during the contest.  (Don't worry -- I'm not fishing for another mug.  I just wanted to point out our collective oversight.  I'm surprised that none of your geeky female readers thought of Brainiac.)
Yes, I got my mug, as well. Thanks! Drinking from it right now. My wife opened the (very large) box and said, "He wrapped it like it's worth a million dollars." :-)
Well, you're entitled to a vacation, but I think that MSNBC is going to h*ll since they've moved your space, and I know it's going downhill all the way when you're on vacation and the rest of the site is just drivel.  In fact, if I were you, Will, I'd put the old CV out there, because my interest in dealing with this site has fallen like 90%, and I'm sure I am not alone.
So when you're gone, there's *sigh* no reason to go on.  Please restore hope for the rest of humanity.
hey will,
we're having fun, wish you were here!
