ABOUT CLICKED

The modern news consumer ignores Weblogs and online citizen journalism at his own peril. But not everyone has the time to keep track of what's going on the Web. With this blog we hope to track the highlights of what's being discussed online so when news breaks from the Web, we're ready.

Will Femia is a Weblog enthusiast who, through good fortune and dumb luck, was introduced to the form as his position as chat producer for MSNBC.com careered into obsolescence. On any given day, Will can be found having already spent an unhealthy amount of time squinting at a computer screen.

That kite surfer caught in Fay

I actually heard about this one at the water cooler before I saw it online - which sort of makes sense since it's not really a Web video, it's from a local Miami news station.

Here's the original but I don't see a way to make the player bigger. The latest update on the guy's condition is that he was able to leave the hospital today.

there's a tab just above the video that says 'Enlarge'.  Does that not work?

One of the special people out trying to get himself killed. We see it with every hurricane. He'll have quite the story to tell. Had to be a pretty good adrenaline rush involved in being slammed by 40-60 mph winds.
Hopefully the local government where that guy lives has a "moron law" that lets tham send him the bill for all of the emergency services his stupidity cost the taxpayers.

Flying kites in a hurricane has to be in the top 5 of dumbest things to do EVER. It makes anything Ted Nugent does or say seem presedential by comparison.
Why didn't the moron just let go?  Was his kite that precious?  I guess it is if you don't have a brain.
