I slept at the recording studio I worked at part time by coming back every night after it closed and sleeping on the couch in the waiting area, waking up really early before it opened again and then walking 30 blocks downtown to shower at the Carmine Street Recreation Center and Gym, ($25.00 membership at the time) so I can totally understand what that girl is talking about.  It was rough but, it was my way around sleeping in a shelter or on the street.
