Americans win Nobel for big-bang study - That's pretty ironic. Maybe they'll celebrate with a flat-Earth cake.

Are you saying the Big Bang theory is outdated and disproved? On par with the Flat Earth theory?

E-mail is for old people

Jared, no, I'm saying it's ironic that Americans won for that since so many Americans don't "believe in" the Big Bang theory. The Flat Earth cake crack was about Americans celebrating their scientific heroes while opposing the science.

E-mail is for old people

Markos "Kos" Moulitsas' essay on Libertarian Democrats at http://www.cato-unbound.org/2006/10/02/markos-moulitsas/the-case-for-the-libertarian-democrat makes lots of sense to me, let's call ourselves New Century Democatics. These are ideas that have tons of support. There are hordes of weak Libertarians that despise many of the directions the Republicans have turned. Let's transform the Democratic party into a power that will make real differences.

Many select-an-issue Democrats will surely be upset, but hey, they can start a new party (We Know What's Good and Right for Us Democrats). How do we help the established Democratic organizations see the light and 'get this party started' for real?

While I certainly don't think that anyone should be able to make slanderous, libelous unsubstantiated charges against anyone in their blog, don't you see where this is headed?

Pretty soon anyone disagreeing with the regime will see their websites shut down because they are unpatriotic and "helping the terrorists". If you think it can't happen here, just sit and wait. I fear it will be sooner rather than later.
