I'm pretty sure that it has already been shown that a larger brain does not mean a smarter organism. I think neaderthals had larger brains (but dont quote me on that).

I read an article in Newsweek about the Hadron Super-collider beneath the France - Swiss border? The plan is to smash protons into each other at almost the speed of light, generating a temperature about 100,000 times the heat of the center of the sun! This is supposed to create conditions simulating the creation of the universe. Somehow the thought of that amount of heat underground scares the be-jesus out of me! What happens if it works? Will we have another universe underground? OMG.

Love that Hidden Passageway store! My goal, in our next house we are buying next year, is to have some sort of a secret passageway built in. My coworkers call this the "Webster clock" since that's how I explained it to them - if you remember Webster, he had a grandfather clock that concealed a door. Yes, so did Batman, but Webster sounds a bit more sane...

Having lived in Mexico, as a whole, I think it tends to be an extremely conservative country. What I’ve noticed in some of the Mexican news coverage is that there is no mention of the fact that many (not all) emos in Mexico also happen to be gay or gay friendly. Attacks on gays in Mexico are common, the only reason this is getting so much attention now is because of the increasing number of attacks, emos are easy to identify, and the kids are finally fighting back.

Mexican Emos and punks fighting...what, no "West Side Story" reference, Will? Shocking! I'm telling you, if these kids just show some decent choreography when they go at it, this controversy would go away. Where's Jerome Robbins when you need him?

On a more serious note, the Canova laptop just might be onto something. The success of the Nintendo DS has demonstrated that the dual-screen setup can work and actually become popular. I don't see the Canova turning into basically an enlarged game machine, but the format does seem to have practical applications. I particularly like the e-book configuration that's pictured, if for no other reason than it actually looks and feels more like an actual book than the tablets that are out there.

That 'Miss Bimbo' site doesn't work for me, but I think it may be because half of the planet is looking at it right now. From what I've read on other pages, I can see why some people would get mad at this type of game. Seriously, it sounds more like a NSFW game (I.E. Mature game with sexual content) than a game for little girls to be playing. I mean, you can give boob jobs to your little avatar and take them out to clubs to hit on guys.... sounds weird to me, though I wouldn't mind actually seeing the site to see if people are over exaggerating.

Michael, it's very hard to get a sense of the site and right now with it crashing left and right from all the attention it's even worse. One way to see it in action is to look at this week's winner.
